Demo (Updated to 0.1.1)
Use Box only in case Mega doesn’t work for you, Box is more picky with bandwith.
First game related stuff, you can access a test room by pressing T on the main menu, I recommend you play the main part first but you’re a rebel and won’t listen to me.
In the test room you can press F while naked to test the masturbation mechanic (just the animation actually, it doesn’t do anything yet) the sprites need work but that’s the idea.
I think I went a bit overboard with the dialogs, you tell me, the writer person guy might help me shorten the dialogs if it’s necessary in the future, but you can also skip it if you want so I think is not a big deal if you don’t want to read.
Additional notes:
Use Alt+Enter to toggle fullscreen.
The quit menu is not working yet, pressing ESC will kick you out to the main menu so be carefull since you can’t save.
The enemies and difficulty need to be rebalanced still, for now there’s no incentive to wear clothes, you can be a nudist without much consequence. Or maybe it’s just that being nude doens’t have enough “punishment”, ideas are welcome. Also it’s quite difficult to get a Game Over I think. Also, Normal is the best difficulty to play, the other ones are not very well balanced for now.

Hopefully this demo is enough for a while, probably isn’t because I want the full game already as much as you do but hey, baby steps right? Remember when I said I was very motivated and stuff… well I’m starting to feel the pressure and this demo reminded me why, I had forgotten how stressful it is to release something, regardless of how much work you have to put into it, you have to work if you want to get things done, right? that’s normal, but the testing process is such a chore, every test run you see something new to add, something new to fix, and when you fix something, something else breaks, it seems like it never ends, and even after is done and packaged there’s still stuff that probably could have been fixed and improved, like the sounds and the portraits (I don’t love them if you want to know), but yeah, the testing part can take up to days after you think you are done, it sucks.
So let me know what you think and if something is broken or doesn’t work, I really really hope there are no bugs. I hope you like it and hope you don’t kill me too hard if you don’t, also please let me know if I forgot something I said I was going to add here.
Regular posting will be back again for those of you who care about me non-rambling about non-stuff because I don’t write much about anything else anyway, monthly at least, stopping until this was done was such a stupid idea, sorry about that, won’t happen again.

I believe you’re running it from the compressed file, plese extract and try again from a proper folder, otherwise there’s a big problem because it works fine for me.

I did the speed run and it took me 3 minutes to complete (skipped dialog and ran past every enemy) and for some reason I got an error at the end H animation on this run.

I something supposed to happen if you go back with the wings, or is this just a glitch due to the game getting confused from the player having this ability in an earlier area?
Also, two questions: can we do something about the statue with the red eye in the demo? And is something different supposed to happen depending on how much/where we get a game over.

I see exactly where the bug is happening, I still don’t understand why, the ability shouldn’t have anything to do, that’s werid.
Nothing to do with the statue yet.
And you’ll only get an extra dialog if you get a game over the first time you encounter the 3 humanoid ghosts in the big two floor room, about the actual sequence it will be changing as the game progresses, new “game over” rooms will have different sequences.

I think I know what is causing the fatal error I mentioned above. Well, when the game really starts, the first enemies you find are a pair of ghost hands, after that a “roof trap” and then a kind of a “wall trap” that you can’t destroy it without the X attack. So, when you progress through the game and then back to the room where was that “wall trap”, the game crashes because there’s no more wall trap or the game can’t respawn it again.

You’re right, I know what it is now, the wall creates a trigger but then it dissapears if you enter trough the left, leaving the trigger by itself with no wall to react to, all I have to do is remove the trigger along with the wall, it’s quite an amateurish mistake actually, heh.

May I suggest, even if you don’t implement it in this game, but rather as a general idea for future games; getting a different scene depending on the character’s position and the angle she gets caught.
Such as getting doggystyle’d when caught as she’s crawling, or being taken from the front or from behind accordingly to where the monster came from.
I know it’s difficult to plan so many sprites and animations, or at least I can imagine it is, but I think it would be interesting. I have honestly never seen something like that in a game.

For now you seem to be invincible since there are no ground enemies whatsoever, only flying ones (and jumping which in the game counts as airborne). It would be possbile to let them grab you while crawilng but that would mean there would be no escapeo ther than fighting, I don’t know if that’s a good thing.
Situational based grabs are cool but as you said that would require quite a bunch of sprites, that game would need to have way less enemies too, it’s possible but we’ll see im the future, not this game.

Not a fan of “broken into submission” kind of situations, and I don’t think enjoying anything in that situation makes sense, if you can come up with a good scenario that makes sense then maybe, but I don’t really see it, I want things to makes sense story wise.

Maybe you remember that, but I’ve actually suggested a possession scene with the red ghost (red ghost taking control of the heroine’s body and starts masturbating/fucking something). I for one would really appreciate something like that. I am also curious if the glove does turn against the heroine at some point, forcing her to do nasty things. ^^

Really solid game. Loved it. Only thing I didn’t really like was no invincibility after a struggle. Many times I got caught right after breaking out. It seems to potentially be able to go into a never ending loop. It’s so cheap! Other than that, keep it up Vosmug!

Game definitely needs some invincibility frames after a grab. The stunlock is harsh at the moment. Causes me to run and avoid combat instead of fighting through.

After Game Over, in Continue menu, No option not working, and when Yes option is chosen the game shows Main Character in air and nothing happens, until the Esc button is pushed.
Game crashes after going back to where Ghost Wall used to be.
There is bug when someone harassing Character, and you need to push left, right buttons, you can push only button (any you want) and escape bar still will be filling in.
Dialogs are good enough, if one don’t want them, one can skip them.
About being a nudist, maybe you should make character slower when she walks naked? Like it would be careless to walk fast without shoes. Or add Orgasm Meter, that fills in when Character is without clothes and harassed by ghosts. Also when that bar gets full, Character gives in to enemy. Or simply make Escape Bar (when nude) fill in much slower.
Liked the look of mechanisms, hope there will be some traps with them maybe? (like wooden horse powerd by ghosts)

During the game over press X several times to escape. No options is not working for now, I’m aware of that.
Ghost Wall already fixed, will upload new a new version with fixes soon.
While escaping a grab, if you mean you can only press one direction to escape then that’s normal, pressing the 2 keys it’s only to make it easier, but you can one only one if you want. I think that’s what you mean, right?
I’ll consider those ideas, and yeah, the machines will be used.

Found another interesting thing, when you throw ghosts from yourself, Character makes 1 step back, because of that you may stuck in the corner of map (maybe even go through walls, haven’t tried that though). And enemies that can’t fly – you can throw them out from map

Played flawlessly from beginning to end, tested out everything I saw (with game over and all). Works pretty well for me and I’ll be sure to buy a copy once the full game releases. I can barely even wait. But please don’t feel pressured by it o.o Do take your time, the process of creating something is a delicate one and I don’t wanna be hurrying you.

Awesome game man, seriously, you have much talent creating a hentai game, your art are awesome as well the animations. One thing I love so much in your games are the especial sex animations (like in the end of this demo or the tentacle elevator in Xenotake), because it’s a great Idea that you put some “controls” in the animations, like the speed and position. I hope you add a lot of enemies, also I hope you add some yuri animations.
One suggestion I have is, if you can and of course, if you want, add 2 or more sex animations for each enemie and not just 1.

Another bug: You are sometimes able to fly out of the level.
Example: In the room before the room with red eyed statue, you can fly up to get into another room. If you then keep flying up and onte the right border, you are able to drop out of the level.

A cool little tidbit to add (if that’s possible) would be that various enemies come and rape the heroine if we don’t free her fast enough in a game over screen.

Wall trap bug and jumping out glitch are fixed already, by the way your method is not exactly correct, just go back to that screen right after walking out, you just have to walk enough to the right to trigger the bug, will fix as much stuff as possible before uploading a new version.
Hand enemies will have a pink bar I guess, I don’t think I’ll do it with traps, at least not the ones in the demo, they just hold you they don’t do anything else.

That door you’ll have to come back later after the demo,
The game over sequence will be changing as the game progresses, and what you said will happen eventually, but for now nothing happens since it’s the very begining.

Ah, I already thought that you don’t have to do all that stuff to trigger the bug, hence I parenthesized it. Maybe this bug gets triggered by the hitbox of the wall, so that the game tries to start the wall-sucks-you-in animation, but since the wall is already killed, the game crashes.
Another suggestion I have to make the wall more interesting is that the heroine gets slowly sucked in by the wall.
Anyways, this demo looks gorgeous and I can’t wait for the final game. That said, don’t hassle yourself, I prefer a product the author is happy with than a half-baked game.

Only got a game crash once when going back near the beginning after getting Wings. Overall, the game needs some invulnerability after a grab for a few seconds to prevent stunlock found it exceedingly difficult trying to actually fight. Also, after a death in the room with the red eye statue, the way is blocked by the wall after continuing.
That being said, the game is shaping up great. The animations are smooth, the CGs were a wonderful surprise. I love the heavy story focus without being overly bloated. Can’t wait for release to get to see the sex machines in action =)

As a followup, I can’t guarantee it, but on a few subsequent playthroughs, it SEEMS that the game crashes if you’re holding ctrl to skip dialogue on the boss encounter at the end.

That’s a way to escape flying enemies while jumping is a way to escape ground enemies (which there are none yet), I don’t know if vulnerability while crawling is a good thing, how else would you escape, just by fighting? I don’t know what to do there yet.

The only thing I found odd was the pose of some of those character portraits. But it’s no big deal for me and it’s definitely not gamebreaking. Just do what you find most suited.
I don’t know if you can work on that but sometimes I had trouble with turning around quickly and attack. When I was running away from a monster and then tried to quickly turn and stun them, the heroine would not turn and attack in the worng direction.
If you could make the controls a little bit snappier, that would be great.

Well, the problem is that there are frames of animation in the middle, so you have to time your moves, if you press the keys too fast in the middle of a stopping animation it won’t register the press, the only solution I see would be cutting frames or speeding the animtion, I’ll check that, I don’t really like the idea though. We’ll se if it looks good.

If you want to go the extra mile, you could implement command chains. Right now the game registers you walking into one direction. If you then wan to walk into the other direction, the game has to stop the walking animation first to be able to turn the heroine around. However the attack animation is instantly (<- that's the problem if I understood that correctly) You could a special move if the player wants to turn and fire simultaneously. Something along the lines of
"if (character walks into one direction) {
if (turn around command + fire command){
play special animation that lets the heroine turn around and then fire}}"
Sorry for describing this so poorly, I can't think of a better way right now.

That’s a good idea, but what I said is not entirely correct, I just checked and the stopping animations don’t seem to affect the pressing of the other direction or the attack key itself, I thought they did but I was wrong, unless of course you have the bad habit of pressing the two directions at the same time, even for a split second, this engine can’t handle that very well, only keyboards seem to have that problem since you press the keys with two different fingers unlike controllers, regardless, I think the problem lies with the attack and stun animations, you’re not allowed to turn around if the attack animation hasn’t finished, there’s a dead time after so you don’t abuse it (also to let the boob bounce happen but because of the shake is not noticeable), so yeah, the timing after the attack/stun seem to be the problem, I think, a variation of your idea can work, so you can preemptively turn around during the attack/stun ending frames, I’ll check that out.

I don’t know exactly what is happening there, I can just try to describe it as best as possible. I was running away from a ghost charging at me and then tried to turn around and fire. But if I do that too quickly the heroine wont turn around and fire in the wrong direction. I don’t have the problem if I wait a bit longer after turning before wanting to fire, but it could be snappier.

The game is looking awesome as a whole, I quite like the longer dialogues too.
I didn’t find any bugs that haven’t been mentioned here yet, as for the portraits I found it kind of weird that the bodies of the characters get more detailed than the game sprites but the face stays the same, like a lower quality/resolution drawing pasted over a more detailed one. That’s my only remark though since all the rest seems crazy awesome! Thanks for the hard work!

Found a tricky one. I’m not sure if it should be counted as a bug, since the situation is probably not supposed to happen in the fist place.
Anyway, if you got a game over in the training room, you’re sent to the only game over room existing as of now, with SEAL and WING. Now, if you continue the demo, you got no cutscene between the two statue, the metal doesn’t come down (the ghost still appear) and when you reach the room with the sealed door, you get the following error :

In addition to the player character leaving the ‘level’; it’s also possible for the ‘headcrab’ ghosts to jump out of the level when leaping at you.
If you are in the ‘weakened’ state when this happens, you will be stuck unable to pick up the hand or get a game over.
Also, a suggestion: For the screenshots, use the system timestamp instead of a random number; they’ll be in order and with no chance of overwriting a prior screenshot.

This demo is awesome.
For starters I love the concept, the as yet unnamed power glove is a pretty amusing character, the art and animations are as great (if not outright better) than Xenotake and the combat mechanics are new and refreshing, at least to me.
Though I will admit they took a while to get used to, and were quite annoying untill I got the hang of them.
My biggest gripes with the game are mostly personal preference – I would love to see some gangbanging, or blowjobbing.
All in all, I love it and look forward to seeing more. This demo is awesome. You’re awesome. Keep it up.

You said you hated the fact that the character was invincible for a while after a grab because it was too easy than. Maybe you could have an option to enable or disable that feature in the main menu? Because I too find the game way too easy after that change. But others people likes it that way.
Also I really like the smooth animation, I really think you improved that greatly since Xenotake (Even though they were already excellent) and the portraits looks fine too me. I hope you will not change that to be honest!

You could always make it so when your invincible that you yourself cannot attack them yet either.
For example, since the flying enemies can’t attack you when your ducking. The one or two second invincibility is nice because I can just duck down and get my bearings then wait for a better opportunity to attack when I’m not getting lunged at. But I mean, if I don’t have to duck right away I won’t, but if I can’t attack them either I would.

Great job! If you continue like this, you’ll make a really great demo into a really great game.
Some things though: IIRC you said not to use easy or hard mode because they’re unbalanced. I can’t even select them in the menu.
As for the invincibility after being grabbed: As long as I don’t panic and press buttons randomly – thus resulting in full capture – I can usually free myself out of a stunlock just by pressing the right directional button. It’s not as if the ghosts wait around for me to free myself just to grab me again.
And as for the walking around nude: If you implement a penalty for this (sure, there should be one), then I think it would be necessary to rebalance the clothed status. My reasoning for this:
– It takes longer time to free yourself in clothed status than while being naked.
– This results in only two grabs that are necessary to lose your clothes
– Clothes can only regenerate by sacrificing some… endurance? or whatever that bar represents
– Endurance is only gained when defeating ghosts (which I have to do naked, since my endurance is pretty much empty after being grabbed two or three times), or by waiting, which would mean that after a fight I’d have to wait a while, then regenerate clothes, then wait a while so I might perhaps have a slight buffer next time I lose them, in the next room where I’m ambushed by 3 ghosts.
So, yes, I definitely think there should be an advantage to being clothed, as at the moment it’s rather a disadvantage (as I have the chance of freeing myself with one button without losing endurance when I’m naked, as opposed to being grabbed instantly while clothed), but then you also have to make sure that clothes are not lost as soon as there’s two ghosts next to me.

however
– are you supposed to be umgrabable while you are crawling over the floor? (doing that lets you pass every room while ignoring the enemies)
– additionally you are almost invincible after you got the flight ability, you can simply jump before an enemy touches you, which solves all combat on its own because you only drop to the ground and get invincibillity-frames and good enough to jump again
some thoughts
– maybe the difficulty hard removes the invincibility frames
– refering to "yeneral" i dont think that dropping the hp to 0 resulting into a game over is a good idea, the game has a good game-flow right now and this would kinda break it
i also presonally like it the way it is right now
– "Feran´s" thoughts about the naked penalty system would be kinda what i had in mind aswell! 😀

I don’t know about immortality on easy mode, perhaps just a higher threshold until the game over occurs (although I got grabbed fairly often on my first playthrough and didn’t have a game-over until I forced it in the second)
Clothes regaining endurance and restoring it from the exp-bar were thoughts that crossed my mind as well, but I don’t know if the “health” bar is really health or stamina.

The bar it’s supposed to be a shield and it’s from the hand not from you, that’s why IMO losing it should not equate to game over, when you lose it it means you have no defense, that’s why it needs to be tweaked, as of now having no defense is better than having a full bar.
It’s true that crawling let’s you bypass pretty much everything, there will be ground enemies that don’t care if you’re crawling and I thought about a epecial type of trap/enemy that activates if you crawl too much, I don’t know if that would work, it could be annoying too.

Also, jumping it’s kind of tricky, but what about temporarily losing the jump after being hit in the air? Also increase the damage? I think being hit in the air does no damage.

disable the jump function after getting hit could work fairly well, because you cant use this glitch and you cant just fly away to flee (like flying up to a second level)
another idea is that the enemies smash the glove off her hand (like after losing a sex grapple), either with a percentage low chance or after x hits during flights
it would happen because she is using the glove and its exposed to get hit and therefore it could easily slip of the hand because she is hanging on it
this were to be a hard penalty for using the glitch too much

I have noticed the game becoming easier since the addition of invincibility, but I think it might be necessary considering the number of enemies on screen that can attack from both sides while we can only focus on one. Who knows, you might even add more enemies on screen in the full release. To compensate for this, maybe you can make the enemies a bit stronger? Or even more areas that require you to battle. I’ve noticed an area like that in the demo. With this it becomes more challenging as the player’s movement becomes more limited.

Hey, it’s me again. While playing the latest version of the demo, I noticed a strange behavior. Not sure where it comes from, but anyway :
Once you acquire the WING and fly up to the next part of the level, there is a red orb which gives you some… let’s call it ghost power… Anyway, when I broke the orb and waited a few seconds for the particles to scatter, absorbing them granted a little over a bar. But when I tried absorbing them immediately after breaking the orb (while they were still in a circular shape), I only got a few percentage.
Is that the intended behavior ?
Anyway, you’ve got a solid gameplay here.
If I can make a suggestion, can we have a way to modify the keyboard configuration ? I mean, everyone doesn’t have a QWERTY keyboard : with an AZERTY, the ZXC combo is far from being comfortable.

This demo is very 😉 and 😀 but after playing it I have a doubt: perhaps ghosts as enemies means no cum (especially during climax)? I know, it’s an odd question but I have played recently another game where things work so and, in my opinion, it seems a little “puritan” for a game with monsters&co.

They are mine too, except when the stories/drawings involve futanari, pregnancy and other weird things.
Eroquis worked on the CGs of a 3D platform game times ago, but in my opinion he should work on a kind of game like yours (for example making a game of “dirty prison ship”).
Do you know Royal Koyanagi? He is an able one too. There are also Erect Sawaru (a bit chaotic sometimes) and Rindou, though I don’t see new works from Rindou since a while.

I think a proper script file would help all translators. You have to set it up only once, and from there on volunteers can translate it in all languages. Dunno if you have acces to my e-mail. If yes, just send me one and I will start translating. You dont have to send me it when the game is complete, a script for demos or updates is quite enough.

But i have something to ask you. You could add something to make the game more challenging, like a real oldschool game? For example, you can add a option to limit the number of continues, after you beat the game in hard mode, maybe.

Great game so far, I really like this direction for the setting. I have a suggestion/request though: can we get animations for the actual penetration? It is a small pet peeve of mine when the heroine gets grabbed and instantly later she is in the sex loop animation. I definitely like seeing a lot more of when the monster first enters the girl.
I realize this is likely too much work for all the regular enemies, but seeing this on special event scenes like the boss fights would be awesome.

Hey Vosmug ! I tried the demo. I don’t know if it was on my end or because I didn’t have V-Sync. But sometimes when the screen was scrolling during ‘Cutscenes’ Or during certain animations.. I could see a definite line where the body.. Warped only very lightly. Then again.. that sounds like a V-Sync thing.
Also, The ceiling hand and Wall ghost thing, They’ll have game-over things over in the full game or not ? It felt like they would Insta-death if you were caught and such.
Regardless, Can’t wait to see this completed ^^ !

I saw you were wondering if Being nude would need a more.. punishing thing. I think it should make monsters more Prone to attack you. It goes both ways. For people who wants the Sex-Scenes it pleases them, and for gameplay’s sake it forces people to keep their clothes on and actually play the game.
I don’t know how hard that would be to program and everything.. but I feel like.. This would be.. In my eyes a good way to punish being a nudist.

It sounds like v-sync, it cannot be avoided, if you don’t want that you have to trun it on but it’ll be more taxing on the sytstem, how much I really don’t know but it shouldn’t be a problem unless your PC is really old.
For now traps are only life/hp/thing drainers but eventually they should casue a game over just like any other enemy.
And yeah, more aggreisve enemies make sense gampley and “lore” wise, we’ll see.

In a normal playthrough you should level up faster than that then since there’s unique groups of enemies that give more orbs than normal that only show up once, I don’t know how long it will be but I hope more than 1 hour, that’s good nfo to have, thanks.

about cloth. I think 4 step for cloth damage. 1st is complete cloth. 2nd is little cloth damage show half of nipple and half pussy (so sexy). 3rd is hi cloth damage show full nipple and full pussy (if nipple and clit are piercing is very sexy I hope you made it). and 4th is full naked.

I noticed a few grammatical errors in the cutscene in the beginning.
After you see the picture, Leena says that they all disappeared ‘without trace.’ Should add in the ‘a’ there. I think I also saw ‘carefull’ instead of ‘careful’ and ‘allright’ instead of ‘alright.’
Gameplay wise, yeah I couldn’t find anything I did not like and I did not find any bugs for the first playthrough. You are doing a fine job.
Hmmm, I reckon I’ll review grammar more than anything and let everyone else review the actual gameplay. Does that sound fair?

this game is really great compared to Xenotake which I also enjoyed. By cons I hope that apart from the story of the main character we can embody other women characters? it would be interesting do not you think?
and then there would be the perfect contrast to the first game innovation. This is really the top but to complicate things more and more enjoyment embodied in one mode or the other characters skin getting fucked like the first heroine.

It took a bit of getting used to but I really like the combat system in this, the whole stun then attack thing is neat. The only suggestion I can think of would be to maybe add some sort of counter bonus for stunning enemies as they are trying to attack. I thought that the story setup was interesting and not too lengthy so no problems there for me. Also I hope that there will be some female enemies in the game that want to sex up Vena, that sure would be swell.

Alright, after finally getting around to finish the demo I’ll add in my 2 cents:
-The sprite animation, especially the facial animation has gotten a lot better compared to Xenotake.
-In my opinion the story is more interesting. The way you have introduced the characters is also better than in Xenotake.
-The battle system, aka struggling and combat in general, feel much better. Still a little clunky, especially since you need to do the quick combo (Stun+Attack) often the buttons don’t register or register too late, this might be partially because I’m playing over Wine, an emulator for windows applications on mac.
-I think for a hentai game the clues are a bit to subtle. I got stuck for a while and had to consult the lovely lads over at ulmf.org before I could proceed. Maybe add a button that, when pressed, gives you a hint on where to go? Visual, or just text. Or ship the game with a walkthrough.
In conclusion I think that Xenotake is a great hentai game and I think that Ghost Hunter Vena (that’s the name right?) has the potential to become even greater. How many enemies are you planning to add? How many of those will have sex animations? I know that you are planning on adding rage ghosts that only want to kill you, but personally I wouldn’t go overboard with it. You have to remember that this is primarily a hentai game made for an audience that expects a hentai game, if you strip it of the sex, it just becomes another platformer. I have to admit that I’m guilty of pirating Xenotake, but I will definitely be buying this one.

I also had another thought. In a previous post somebody obviously grinded for a full hour and posted a screen shot of their stats.
Would there be a ‘level restriction’ to prevent you grinding at the very beginning of the game, thus making the rest of the game a steamroll?
Every new level would increase the max level for e.g. Or would you not worry about it and let us grind at the start?

You said you aren’t that happy with invincibility frames after being grabbed and with the lack of usefulness of clothing. Just make Clothing increase the time of invincibility after a grab.

Hey this demo is fantastic! I enjoyed the dialogue, definitely not too much at all. It’s rare to see the level of storytelling present here in similar games, so I really appreciated your attentiveness there. The combat could use some tweaking as I am sure you’re aware, the ghosts being able to attack while they are on top of your character isn’t good as the player gets no opportunity to retaliate. It does lend itself to a feeling of helplessness, so if that’s what you are going for, it is working. I really enjoyed what I saw and am excited for the full release! Keep working, and I know you don’t want to put up any sort of official crowd source funding for the game, but maybe throw up a donate button? The level of quality in your projects is wonderful and I’m sure many of us would happily throw money your way to keep you going. Cheers mate!

Great demo! I enjoyed both the dialogue and portraits. Facial expressions were fantastic. As suggested earlier, multiple levels of clothing damage would be nice.
As far as gameplay goes, the invincibility system could change based on difficulty level.
Difficulty level should be changeable while playing; I could see players becoming frustrated on boss battles.
Being hit while in the air could cause you to fall to the ground, stunning you AND causing you to be vulnerable to attacks. This would make it risky to fly while monsters are still around. I also liked the suggestion of possibly losing the glove if you are hit.
Being naked could confer a speed penalty. iirc it was like this in Xenotake.

I played demo and I should say the story is amazing. Combat system is so creative. And graphics is wonderful as always. Here is my idea.. Before that gameover dark screen you can add an unconsciousless animation or something cuz you’re getting that just after somethings catch. That seemed weird to me and maybe after gameover if u wait too much in bound some H animations can appear. Anyway I’d like to say more thing but I don’t wanna interfere you so much. I think full version is gonna be awesome!

It seems you have a problem with animation priority.
Stop animation have priority over go left animation.
right > stop > left

A solution could be, instead of using 2 different events to move right or left, use a single one and create a vector when the keys are pressed. Left -1 and right +1, and set a boolean to “true” if the result is not 0, for example.
Then verify if that vector is positive or negative to determine if the character would go left or right, Pressing the two directions at the same time would result in a 0.
If the vector is 0, and that boolean is true, then the character was walking and now have stopped, so play the stop animation and set to boolean to false.
Every game loop set the vector back to 0.
This would solve the problem with the character not moving to the left when you press the buttons too fast, because stop don’t have priority over going left anymore.

I… this… This is great. My only gripe is that it tricked me into forgetting it was a demo. 😛 I loved Xenotake, and this looks to be even better! The girls are gorgeous, the animation is fluid, and I’m already thrilled about the variation in enemies seen so far. Keep it up, Vosmug, it’s great!

Thank you for your new demo. Your previous work Xenotake was one of the best hentai games I played. I enjoyed it greatly.
One thing I would like to see improvement for this demo, in comparison to Xenotake, is the enemies graphics. I think they can benefit from a little more work… perhaps even adding a few white gloss and shadow can add depth them, or adding some textures or rotting blobs on them may also help.
I believe having a look a few good examples of hentai tentacles (or pictures of heroine rape, such as works of Black Lilith) as reference can help.
Also when being grabbed by the enemy, adding effects of liquid spilling or dripping would be great too.
Other than that, background, atmosphere, game-play and story are all good. I look forward for the full release with high enthusiasm.

Maybe make it that some ghosts or monsters can latch onto you when you’re nude, much like the little slugs in Xenotake, and you will start masterbate or getting raped by the latched ghosts every now and then if too many things latch onto you.

Well. Played the game for a while, then when the male ghosts appear and attack you (after you get past the locked doors at very beginning), it kinda happens the screen freezes yet things are still happening (sounds of footsteps, BGM, sounds of hand attacks), playing in window doesn’t help, vsync either doesn’t help, the screen just freezes.

What about video card?
That could be a problem since the engine it’s a bit more resource heavy now, I don’t have a way of testing on older systems but as far as I know you need only 512MB RAM and 128MB graphics for most GM games, this one should be a bit heavier than that though, also, win 7 alone needs 1gb of ram so looks like you eventually run out of ram and mainly video memory and the game can’t display anymore, I can optimize a bit better in next versions by flushing texture cache every once in a while (which I forgot to do in the demo) which should free a bit of vidieo memory, but I don’t think that would fix the problem entirely. Vsync will only make things worse, turn it off.
Maybe try disabling visual effects in windows:
Control panel > system > advance cofiguration
In the advanced options tab under performance set the visual effects to a minimum, wundows looks simpler but will free a bit of memory.
Seems like a system requirements problems, there’s not much I can do, I’m using big sprites which use a bit more video memory than usual.

i just got a comp with windows 10 and it wont play the demo, when i try to launch it all i get is a black screen, then after a minute of nothing happening i quit out, then i get a message saying that i can now play it in compatibility mode which in the end does the same thing, what should i do?

Another question, what is the number of times the ghosts have to “cuddle” you in order to be “defeated”? The part with the 3 humanoid ghosts, I think after a certain amount of time after being grabbed, they place you in the attic, but is there a way to know how many times left until you are defeated? And will there be a perma-defeat?

No, you use the jump to reach the second floor (in the same 3 ghost area) and advance a bit further, but is not really much.
Everytime you get grabbed the upper left orb will change color and blink, red means you’ll lose next grab, I think it’s 3 grabs for red, then it will cahnge back to normal over time.
The most defeated you’ll ever be will be that, that’s pretty much this game’s version of a game over screen, you get captured and have to restart from that point, that’s it, that room is like a checkpoint pretty much, I think what you’re asking for is defeated animations or game over CGs, this game doens’t have them, sorry. The “capture” room was planned to have different animations depending on the area you’re in, but not sure if they will make the cut.

After testing demo, I noticed one mechanic that may not have been intended. After you get the wings on the glove, you can use that as a dodge to avoid being grabbed by starting that as they start their attack animation.
Suggest adding attack animations specifically if someone does that to stop that kind of abuse unless you don’t mind that as a “dodge” mechanic.

I have seen all the comments (not entirely cause it will take me whole weekend to take important key words) that’s all been answered by users.
– Have you update the latest demo that you have put in all the enemies, galleries, music, systems etc in this GHV? Its been 2 years and more since you released GHV demo.
– Have you change your mind of releasing the latest demo of GHV with all the latest work you put into?
– That other blog post about 99.5% animations done. I feel that it’s still far away… I don’t know what is your progress wise? Can you tell me of how far have you done and where up to now and whats need to be done?
-As far as you concern the GHV needs get it done, which is the most critical part of task that requires attention?
-Some users and I are very concern of lack of communication because we don’t know when you are going to post the latest feed backs (2-4 months).
– I am aware that there is no dead line or no release date. Is there way to improve? Should we just keep on cheering you as motivation?
– How many users visit your site or blog just for a day?
– This may not be a fair question to put… Which game is better for you to play Prisonkage, Xenotake or GHV (complete games)? How big is GHV compare to Xenotake? I know its not a fair question.
– Lastly… Will this make any difference if you have all the work that’s been done from the past so you can use those work (sprints or edit the characters from another game) to make another hentai game without starting from scratch?
